Sr. Investment Analyst/Consultant | CTC Consulting | Tacoma, WA
This position is for CTC Consulting, a wholly-owned subsidiary of U.S.
Trust. CTC Consulting is a full-service investment consulting firm
which provides advice and analysis for high net worth families,
institutions, and foundations. CTC Consulting is a Portland, Oregon-based,
wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. Trust and Charles Schwab companies.
CTC provides full-service investment consulting, including investment
policy development, asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment
manager selection, and manager monitoring. Client portfolios range in
size from $20 Million to well over $1 Billion.
This person will support our national clientele of Tacoma, Washington
based CTC office with analyses and reports regarding portfolio holdings
and asset allocation. Works closely with Sr. Consultant in meeting
client investment needs, provides responsive client communications, and
will serve as lead consultant on new business opportunities. Provides
research on investment topics, interacts with external money managers
and communicates with internal manager research professionals on behalf
of clients. Travel required 40% to 60% of the time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advises significant investors (wealthy family members and/or their
family officers as well as institutional investors) regarding
investments, both directly and as support to Sr. Consultant.
- Coordinates recommendations with external advisors and internal
resources.
- Determines appropriate asset allocation in light of client goals.
- Analyzes portfolios for ongoing improvement in risk/return in light
of current economic and market environments.
- Presents CTC capabilities at prospective client meetings.
- Interacts with money managers regarding client accounts.
- Initiates client communications on a regular basis.
- Previous sales experience or training preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Good judgment with integrity and honesty.
- Client-driven perspective with excellent listening skills.
- A thorough understanding of financial instruments, markets and
economics.
- Knowledgeable about contract law, trusts, and partnerships.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality.
- Minimum five years experience analyzing investments.
- Minimum four years experience advising clients.
- Self-directed and works well under pressure and with short deadlines.
- Drive to find the best answer in response to client questions and
situations.
- Prior experience interviewing money managers a plus.
Job Prerequisites (i.e. Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications,
etc.):
- MBA and or/ CFA.
- Proficient with computer and Microsoft software programs.
- Licensing exams or willingness to pass exams as required by State/Federal
regulatory bodies.
